It's over

It’s over, it’s finally over. ……….The tyrant is dead, I have avenged my family, my servants, my comrade and finally my king. My battle between with Macbeth was an eventful one, I had came out and told him of how my birth had taken place after he stated that “I bear a charmed life, which must not yield to one of woman born”. The fact I myself was not really born of woman seemed to be my edge in that battle because he was clearly shocked. His statement also makes me believe that he has been working with the hands of evil. Although he died a tyrant, he died with what could be seen as courage in others eyes, but I still believe that this is what has to have been done. Long ago in my eyes Macbeth was an honorable man and I even went so far as to call him a “ worthy thane” , now with the sound of his death came a new king, the rightful King, I had bought the head of Macbeth to him and hailed him the King of Scotland. It has been told to me that Siward’s son had died in the fight and had been killed by the hands of Macbeth and now his death has also been avenged. All that is left to say is that I will be no longer known as the THANE OF FIFE but the EARL OF FIFE by a new rule brought in by the new king because the title “thane” has been tarnished.

Sincerely, Earl of Fife,

Macduff

Act 4, Scene iii.

I am so angry, so terrible angry. I don't wish to cry myself to sleep or cry at all, but simply kill the man who had done these terrible things to Scotland, and murder my children and wife. His name too terrible to speak, says Malcolm. Well I shall yell his name down the streets of Scotland until I find him and murder him. Yes, he was once loyal but no more does he deserve to live. Yes, Malcolm refuses to join me in the fight against Macbeth. I have given up hope on asking him over and over again as he does not seem to budge. Am I really the only one who realizes that he is making scotland sink under waters, and die? Must I fight him alone? This man, this monster can no longer sit on the throne and take from his people. Malcolm may say he would be a worse ruler than Macbeth, but no one is worse. You could not find someone in hell worse then Macbeth.

I had seen Ross coming, and he had told me of the sadness around Scotland, which upsets me... No, It angers me greatly. . The one thing that pleased me so which i learned, is that rebels are going to begin to rebel against Macbeth. This pleases me so. I shall join them and fight like a man for my beloved children and wife were taken from me, and I shall have revenge on Macbeth for destroying Scotland and my family.

My Families Killing

In Act IV scene II of William Shakespeare’s play Macbeth, he recounts Macbeth’s murder of my family. This was the saddest thing to ever happen to me. I felt anger and rage but before I acted I grieved. In the end my revenge was fulfilled but the pain of my loss stays.

Macbeth himself did not kill my family. Like the coward he was he had others do it for him. I would like to stick it to them but that is for another play. Macbeth could not even do his own dirty work. He did not want my family’s blood on his hands. He should have taken responsibility for his horrible deeds.

However upset I am about my family I cannot help but be proud of my son. He used his final words to encourage my wife to flee. He was a smart and courageous lad. It saddens me that I will not see him become a man.

The picture I chose to represent Macbeth’s killing of my family is a picture of Vikings raiding a defenseless town and killing priests. The picture relates to my family’s murders because, like my family, the monks are innocent and almost defenseless.

The video clip I chose is one from the movie Braveheart. It is one of my favourite movies `and its story is similar to my story. Braveheart is about William Wallace fighting for freedom for Scotland, he began his fight after the English killed his wife. After Macbeth killed my family I started to fight for Scotland’s freedom from Macbeth’s reign.

I’m sorry but its now time for me to be off. Fife’s got a storm blowing in from the North Sea. Take a look at the video link.

Sincerely, Macduff

The death of my King

I have a lot suspicion that Macbeth and Lady Macbeth are lying, when I know someone may have come close to finding out the truth. Yesterday Duncan had asked me to come to his castle. I arrived with Lennox at Macbeth's castle which was where Duncan was staying. I saw all the blood and wounds. I told someone to ring the alarm bell. I got surprised by that Macbeth killing the two chamberlains. I had learned that the lords have decided Macbeth was now King and going to be crowned King of Cawdor since Malcolm and Donaldbain had ran away. A lot of suspicious between the two sons have been made. I have a feeling that Macbeth was somehow involved which is why I decided to skip the crowning and return home. Ross also told me that the conversation he had with Macbeth while I was away was really odd, Macbeth spoke very quick short words as if he was nervous about something happened. I guess we will now see what Scotland will become with its new ruler.
